I’ll be launching my debut collection Liffey Swim in late September and so have tried to clear some space in my schedule in the autumn. This alongside my work seeing new plays for the Abbey at the Tiger Dublin Fringe Festival in September and at the Dublin Theatre Festival in October means it’s shaping up to be a busy couple of months.
All of this means that unfortunately I’ll be offering fewer creative writing courses during the rest of 2014, but here’s a quick round-up of what I will be doing:
Creative Writing for Beginners – Carlow Pen Fest on 14th September
A fun four-hour workshop for beginners focusing on unlocking creativity (Info and booking to follow soon on Carlow Libraries Website)
Beginning to Write Poetry – Big Smoke Writing Factory from 6th November
A course designed for beginner writers or more experienced writers who’d like to turn their hand to writing poems. More info here:
Play Reading Service with Big Smoke Writing Factory (ongoing)
Perfect for those with a completed draft of a play who need advice on how to take it to the next draft. More info here:
Manuscript Development with the Irish Writers Centre (ongoing)
An opportunity for a longer term engagement in order to develop a manuscript over the course of a few months. There are plenty of excellent writers here offering their guidance in a number of different genres. I’m personally available to work on plays or poetry manuscripts. More info here:
If you’d like any more info on any of the above, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
